Deletion Guide

To ensure the quality of works, pages determined by community voting (such as the rating module) to fall below the required quality standard will be deleted by staff, but this rule does not apply to cases that have been confirmed to violate site policies. Regardless of the reason for deletion, all deleted pages will be mentioned in the “Deletion Announcement Thread” in the discussion forum, along with a clear explanation.

Grace Period

All pages are granted a 72-hour grace period after a deletion vote has been initiated. During this period, they will not be deleted regardless of their rating. This rule applies to both newly published pages and pages that have been published for a long time.

Standard Procedure

The standard deletion procedure is divided into two categories. The first is deletion due to negative ratings: when a page's rating falls to -2 or below, a staff member of Reviewer level or above will post a “Staff Post” in the page's discussion forum announcing the deletion and start a 72-hour timer. If no staff member objects during this period and the timer expires, the page will be removed. If the rating rises above -2, the deletion announcement becomes void, and if the rating falls below the threshold again later, a new announcement must be made. The author may request that the deletion be postponed in order to edit or rewrite the page, subject to the circumstances.

If the page's rating falls to -20 or below and the author has not requested a rewrite, staff may skip the procedure and delete it directly.

Summary of Reasons for Deletion

Circumstances under which staff may skip the regular procedure and delete a page directly include:

  • Containing harmful content (such as virus links, pornography, advertisements, illegal content, political arguments, etc.);
  • Clearly unfinished;
  • The author has emptied the page themselves or self-deleted it into the deleted: category;
  • Abuse of site procedures (such as repeatedly publishing an entry without rewriting it);
  • Open plagiarism;
  • Non-original content (such as commissioned writing, AI-generated writing, or unauthorized reposting, although commissioned artwork or AI-generated artwork is permitted as an illustration);
  • Content published by banned users, etc.

Self-Deletion

Authors may request to self-delete their works, provided that they can prove their copyright ownership. The procedure is: click “Options” > “Delete” > “Fully Delete” at the bottom of the page, and make a declaration in the Deletion Announcement Thread. If the author does not complete the self-deletion (such as merely emptying or renaming the page), staff will assist in permanently deleting it.
